DESCRIPTION:NOTE: this session will be structured specifically for kids and teens\, and will take place on the starboard—i.e.\, non-bar—side of the Ocean Bar space) Is your star command a little bland? Your magical tale kind of stale? Whether your worlds are full of magic\, technology\, demons\, or wuxia cultivators\, sometimes mixing things up can open new possibilities\, introduce new perspectives—or it can just be fun. Let's dip our metaphorical toes into the unclassifiable chaos of genre mashing—writing stories with characters and worlds that should have nothing to do with each other. This workshop is for anyone who writes\, wants to write\, or just wants to try something new. Please bring pens\, notebooks\, crayons\, laptops—whatever you use to write. There will be writing and sharing and laughter—and maybe even a little learning. And yes\, our final writing prompt will invoke penguins.
